Sad Goal Posts

Lonely and dirty, with peeling paintwork exposing patches of rust: welcome to the life of a sad goal post.

har-19012016-con-sad-goal-post-image-1-750-501Throughout February we ran a brand new campaign entitled 'Saddest Goal Posts,' which aimed to find and replace seven sets of sad goal posts in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex (two per county) and replace them, for free, with the sublime.

Thanks to the Institute of Groundsmanship - who did a fabulous job judging the nominations - we can now reveal the seven successful playing fields that will boast brand new, ultra-safe, state-of-the-art football goal posts are:

Norfolk - Scarning United Football Club and Denver Football Club

Suffolk - Claydon Football Club, Gravel Pit Lane and Montgomery Avenue

Essex - Hatfield Broad Oak and Montgomery, Colchester.

You can see the sadness can't you?
