Strong, Colourful & Durable

From refining designs and materials to improving safety, portability and easy storage, Harrod has prided itself on innovation for over 60 years. This can be seen in the range of high quality posts available for clubs, schools and professional competition:

Competition posts

Premier Competition Posts are BWF approved. Their heavy duty wheelaway base conforms to the required safety standards for competition use. These 5mm thick freestanding steel posts are ideal for sports halls where ground sockets are not possible.

Socketed competition posts are used by Badminton England in their centres of excellence and conforms to the BS EN 1509 safety standard, making them ideal for international competition. Floor fixed posts are also available for halls where a fixed post is needed but post sockets cannot be installed.

Club posts

This range of freestanding badminton posts is ideal for club use and all levels of practice. The 'H'-shaped bases are weighted and include rubber pads for protecting the floor. The posts can easily be detached using the spring clip mechanism. The wheelaway design also includes offset wheels, helping to make the most of the available space.

School posts

Recommended for use in clubs and schools, School posts are ideal for all levels of practice. This range has a lighter base than Club posts, but at 12kg, will still allow the net to be drawn tight without having to move the uprights.

Combination posts

To help maximise the use of space, Harrod supply combination posts for both clubs (19kg base) and schools (12kg base). These posts are designed to be used for both badminton and short tennis, allowing clubs and schools to get the most out of their halls.

Harrod also produce the NB1AC Combination post which can be used for badminton, tennis and netball at a recreational level.

Colourmix

Colourmix posts offer the choice of a wide range of bright colours for your posts, perfect for adding some personality and team colours to your club or school's courts.

Colourmix posts are available for the following models:

Club Training
School Combination
School Wheelaway

Badminton Court Dimensions

A full-sized badminton court should adhere to the following dimensions:

  • Width: 20ft
  • Length: 44ft

Singles tramlines should be marked 1.5ft in from the sidelines.

The net should be 5ft tall in the centre and 5ft 1inch at each end.

To ensure the net covers the entire width of the court it should have a length of at least 20ft.

Maintenance

If properly maintained, Badminton posts can last for many years, but general wear and tear could reduce the life of your equipment.

To protect against this, regular maintenance is essential. This includes regular checks for fixtures and fittings and the use of maintenance spray or paint.

Harrod produce a wide range of badminton posts, nets and fittings for all levels of the sport. Take a look at our range to find the right type for your school, team or club.
